Job Title: Booking Clerk, Diagnostic Imaging
Work Site: Mammography Clinic, Sechelt Hospital - Sechelt, BC
Status: Temporary Part Time - Indefinite (0.4 FTE)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Salary: $21.26 per hour
Hours: 0730-1530, 0800-1600, 0830-1630, 0900-1300, 0900-1500

JOB SUMMARY:

Within the context of a client and family centred care model, works as a member of an integrated team and acts to support the delivery of client care and ensure client/family needs are met. Utilizes computerized systems as well as considerable tact and diplomacy to schedule and book clients for a variety of diagnostic imaging appointments. Duties include receiving requisitions for exams, organizing appointment times with clients, physicians’ offices, nursing units, and technical team members, rearranging schedules to meet changing demands/requests, preparing and confirming client information, entering booking and client information into applicable computerized and/or manual booking and client information systems, making follow-up appointments, filing requisitions for all bookings, and maintaining appointment and waitlist statistics. Also, provides other clerical support such as reception duties, responding to enquiries and requests for release of report information, filing, and photocopying/faxing.
