|Salary:||$33.14 - $41.35 per hour|
|Hours:||0830 - 1630, Monday to Friday|
Within the context of a client and family-centred care model and in accordance with established standards of professional practice, and the vision and values of Vancouver Coastal Health, Coastal, the OT provides occupational therapy services to clients in the community to achieve quality client focused care and enable clients to develop healthy patterns of occupations.
Duties include identifying and assessing client’s occupational performance issues utilizing an evidence-based approach, planning and implementing goal directed services, evaluating the effectiveness of the service, preparing and maintaining records. The OT contributes to the organization and delivery of occupational therapy services, and participates in departmental/program quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research, and education.
Stepping Stones Concurrent Disorders Service, located in North Vancouver, is designed to support people struggling with problematic substance use or concurrent mental health and substance use issues. Stepping Stones Outreach Team and North Shore Lookout Housing Centre will work in partnership to improve health, social functioning and access to care of identified individuals with problematic substance use, chronic dependent substance use or concurrent mental health and substance use issues. This team will work with individuals who may be poorly served by existing services and cycle from the street to the shelter to acute care. As a first step, providing stable short term supportive recovery and transitional housing as well as integrated case management can help the individual engage in care.
