Job Title: Supervisor - Clinical Audiologist
Work Site: Gibsons Health Unit/Powell River, BC - please see below re: travel
Status: Regular Part Time - Baseline (0.5 FTE)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Salary: $33.61 - $41.94 per hour
Hours: 0830-1630, 0.5 flexible between Monday-Friday

Within the context of a client and family-centered care model and in accordance with established standards of practice and the vision, values, objectives and policies of the organization, the Supervisor / Clinical Audiologist is responsible for the overall management and clinical direction of the Audiology Clinic and supervises a staff of up to two (2) FTE audiology support personnel. Provides clinical expertise and organizes and coordinates clinical treatment of clients and assumes a client caseload to promote quality client centered care. In addition, performs clinical audiology services including screening, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and consultation for children (0 to 19 years of age), and adults with developmental disabilities who are suspected of having a hearing disorder. The Supervisor / Clinical Audiologist determines and plans workforce structures and establishes departmental goals and objectives in accordance with the organization and in partnership with the integrated leadership team. Facilitates resolutions to work problems and issues, coordinates workloads and evaluates employee performance.


Position must initially be based in Powell River. A sound booth is opening in Gibsons in July 2017, after which point the position may be based in either Powell River or Gibsons.  Regular travel between Powell River and Gibsons is required.
