VCH Careers is undergoing a small technical issue with our systems. We are aware of the issue, and are working diligently to fix it. Please check back later today and we should be back up and running. Thank you for being patient, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

“I thought I had made a huge mistake when I started my career in geriatric rehabilitation. It wasn’t a part of health care that many young nurses went into. The formation of VCH opened doors. I was able to grow the skills I had acquired in the beginning of my practice and explore different parts of the system. I’ve worked with great people who have helped shape who I am as a nurse. I no longer think of the different care teams as separate groups but more like a large extended family.

A common thread running through my work is helping patients to transition home after being hospitalized. The health care system can be frightening and stressful for people. I have learned how important it is to take time to connect with each person. I get to join people during a very personal and intimate part of their lives, and that’s a privilege for which I am grateful.”
