Since its program launch in 2016, the Vancouver Coastal Health Midwifery Department has embarked on a remarkable journey of growth and influence, spanning across the diverse communities of the Vancouver, Richmond and Coastal VCH network. At the helm of midwifery practice, the department is devoted to its commitment to professionalism, care quality, and strategic human resource planning across all midwifery divisions in the perinatal programs, including remote birthing program, throughout the health authority, anchored in a patient-centered care environment.
Join an existing midwifery practice and provide full scope midwifery services including antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum care as part of a well-established midwifery practice. In this role, you'll be an integral part of a multidisciplinary perinatal team and be welcomed into a talented, dedicated and collegial group of providers who strive every day to provide exceptional patient care.
As a Midwife at VCH, you'll have the opportunity to build good collaborative and interdisciplinary relationships with our consultants, nurses, and family doctors. You'll support leadership for midwifery activities within the programs and services in accordance with the Standards and Code of Ethics adopted by British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives to ensure that priorities are addressed and the programs/services goals are achieved, and as per the VCH Medical Staff rules and bylaws.
