Harm reduction: Toward the Heart
Youth Concurrent Disorder Clinicians provide services to youth and young adults ages 13 to 24 including comprehensive psychosocial assessments and individual, group, and family counselling for clients with addiction/substance use concerns.
About Bella Coola Youth Concurrent Disorders Services
- Creates individualized treatment plans for youth and young adults with concurrent mental health and addiction/substance use issues.
- Provides psychoeducation, family sessions, and parenting/caregiver support.
- Supports with referrals to withdrawal management (detox) and addiction/substance use treatment programs.
- Works collaboratively with school staff, Nuxalk Health and Wellness staff, and other agencies to support youth and young adults and their families who are struggling with mental health and addiction/substance use issues.

How to access
The Youth Concurrent Disorder Clinician is available from 8:00 to 16:00, Monday to Friday, at the Bella Coola General Hospital or by telehealth from Vancouver.
Hours of operation
- Monday: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Tuesday: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Wednesday: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Thursday: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Saturday: Closed
- Sunday: Closed
