Harm reduction: Toward the Heart
The Carlile Unit is designed to support people aged 17-25 who are facing urgent mental health or substance use challenges. For those seeking help, we understand that this may be a difficult and overwhelming time. We work with young people and their circle of support to provide a welcoming, safe and comfortable environment where they can rest and receive care from our interdisciplinary team.
We welcome youth and comfort young adults as a hospital-to-hospital transfer from across the Vancouver Coastal Health and Providence Health Care regions, including First Nations, Métis and Inuit youth within the traditional territories of the Heiltsuk, Kitasoo-Xai'xais, Lil'wat, Musqueam, N'Quatqua, Nuxalk, Samahquam, shíshálh, Skatin, Squamish, Tla'amin, Tsleil-Waututh, Wuikinuxv and Xa'xtsa.
