Harm reduction: Toward the Heart
EPI Coastal provides comprehensive services including early identification and treatment of psychosis for people aged 13 to 30.
Services differ if you live in the rural and remote regions of Coastal (Bella Bella, Bella Coola, Sunshine Coast, Powell River, Whistler, Pemberton or Squamish). If you live in any of these communities, please reach out to your local VCH Mental Health and Substance Use Services for further information.

How to access

Check eligibility
- Resident of the North Shore, including West Vancouver, North Vancouver, Bowen Island or Lions Bay.
- Aged 13 to 30
- Suspected or confirmed psychosis, except where explained by another medical condition

Please call us if you would like to discuss referring yourself or a loved one.
If you would like to refer someone you are working with who resides in North Vancouver, West Vancouver or Bowen Island, please complete the referral form located on this website.
Referrals from other coastal communities (Squamish, Whistler, Pemberton, Bella Bella, Bella Coola, Sunshine Coast, and Powell River) use a different internal referral form.
If you work at a rural/remote VCH MHSU team and need access to the internal referral form, please email epicoastal@vch.ca. Alternatively, you can contact your local Mental Health and Substance Use service to discuss making a referral.

- Monday: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Tuesday: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Wednesday: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Thursday: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Saturday: Closed
- Sunday: Closed
How to get here
We are located on the third floor of the Hope Centre at Lions Gate Hospital (1337 St. Andrews Ave). There is pay parking located under the building and street parking (some pay and some free of charge but time limited) on St. Andrews Ave, 13th Ave and 15th Ave between St. Andrews and Ridgeway. The building is wheelchair accessible with elevators and ramps. We are located close to major transit routes.
