Harm reduction: Toward the Heart 

Mental health and substance use services provide outpatient individual and group counselling for people with mental health or substance use issues.

This service is available for residents who are aged 19 and over.

Read the Vancouver Community Adult Mental Health and Substance Use Teams’ Mandate. This mandate does not apply to Older Adult Mental Health.

Services available at Evergreen Mental Health and Substance Use Services

  • Outpatient individual and group counselling for people with mental health or substance use issues.
  • One-on-one substance use counselling for adults and youth, withdrawal management, relapse prevention planning, safety planning, treatment referrals.
  • Safer drug use supplies such as crack pipe mouthpiece and screens. Provides opioid users with free Take Home Naloxone Kits (Narcan) that can be used to reverse the effects of overdoses from opioids like heroin, methadone, morphine, oxycodone, and fentanyl.
