Ultrasound is a non-invasive medical procedure that uses high-frequency sound waves to capture real-time images to monitor pregnancies, assess organs and soft tissues, and evaluate blood flow in blood vessels. This procedure can look at the structures of your body without the use of radiation or contrast dye.

How to access

  • Get a referral

    A referral is required. Have your physician complete the medical Imaging requisition form. 

  • By appointment only

    The department clerk will contact patients to book the appointment. Call (604) 984-5775 to change or cancel an existing appointment.

Lions Gate Hospital is located on 231 East 15th Street in North Vancouver.

​Paid visitor parking is available in the hospital parkade on 15th Street, east of St. Georges Avenue.

Electric vehicle charging

Designated electric vehicle charging stations are available for patients and visitors. Charging is available for up to 4 hours at Level 2 stations and up to 1 hour at Level 3 stations. Please review our electric vehicle charging station etiquette for more information.

The clinic is located on the basement floor. Follow the signage from the main entrance. Check in at the X-ray/ultrasound reception desk.
