X-ray/Radiology is a commonly used imaging procedure directing medical x-rays to image and diagnose diseases including plain radiography, fluoroscopy and mammography.

An X-ray is a picture of the body's internal structures produced by exposing a sensitive photographic film or imaging plate to a controlled source of X-rays. Some X-ray images will be kept in digital form and shown on a computer screen.

 

How to access

  • Get a referral

    A referral is required. Have your physician complete the medical Imaging requisition form. 

  • Walk-in basis

    No appointment is needed. 

    Patients are welcome to walk in for an X-ray. Bring your completed medical imaging requisition form and BC medical services card.

  • Wednesday:   8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
  • Thursday:   8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
  • Friday:   8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
  • Saturday:   8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
  • Sunday:   8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

The facility is open 7 days a week, including statutory holidays.

How to get here

Limited parking is available onsite. There is paid parking in the Whistler Day Lots across the street. The Day Lots are on the corner of Lorimer Road and Blackcomb Way.
