Vancouver Coastal Health opens new COVID-19 immunization clinics
B.C.'s Provincial Health Officer rescinds orders for COVID-19
This news release contains information that is more than six months old and may be out of date. On July 26, 2024, B.C.’s Provincial Health Officer issued an order to end the public health emergency for COVID-19 and rescinded all related orders.
Vancouver, B.C. – To support the next phase of B.C.'s COVID-19 Immunization Plan, Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) has opened two new COVID-19 vaccination clinics. These new clinics will add additional capacity to expand VCH's vaccination roll-out as the health authority works to immunize more community members over the coming months.
The new VCH vaccination clinics are located at the UBC Pharmaceutical Sciences Building and the Vancouver Convention Centre (East). For a full listing of VCH vaccination clinics, please visit: vch.ca.
VCH invites the following people to call 1-877-587-5767 to book their COVID-19 vaccination appointment according to the following age groups:
Indigenous peoples (First Nations, Métis, Inuit)

If you're born in 2003 or earlier (age 18 and older) – call now
People in Richmond, Vancouver, North Vancouver, West Vancouver and Lions Bay

If you're born in 1948 or earlier (age 73 and older) – call now
People in Sunshine Coast, Powell River, Whistler, Squamish, Pemberton and Bowen Island

If you're born in 1951 or earlier (age 70 and older) – call now
People deemed clinically extremely vulnerable

If you are clinically extremely vulnerable and have received a patient invitation letter – call now (patient invitation letters will arrive by Apr. 15)
To prepare for your call, please have available a pen and paper, personal health number, full name, date of birth, postal code and phone number. The VCH COVID-19 appointment booking phone line is open daily – please note the following holiday hours:

The COVID-19 AstraZeneca/COVISHIELD vaccine is available to people aged 55 - 65. People can book their appointment directly through the pharmacies listed on the BC Pharmacy Association website. Appointments for AstraZeneca cannot be booked through the VCH COVID-19 vaccination appointment booking line.
VCH is grateful for the partnerships with municipalities, business leaders, community organizations and Divisions of Family Practice for their immense support to help vaccinate eligible people as quickly as possible.
