Intensive Health Outreach Team (IHOT) provides low-barrier interim health care, psychosocial support, and help accessing longer-term health services to people in the Vancouver inner city who are unhoused or newly housed.
What we provide
IHOT is a short-term service that supports people aged 17 and up who live outdoors, in shelters, or are newly housed in supportive housing, including in the Supported Rent Subsidy Program. IHOT provides:
- Care for an immediate health concern
- Access to temporary health care, psychological and social supports (eg. Housing referrals, ID replacement)
- Referral to the most clinically appropriate health service(s)
- Referrals and support to access longer-term health services
- Harm reduction education and supplies
How to access
IHOT is an outreach team. There are two ways to connect with us:

Walk into the Episodic Care Clinic at the Molson Overdose Prevention Site
Location: Molson Overdose Prevention Site, 166 East Hastings Street (alley entrance)
Hours: Mondays and Thursdays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. -
Call us to refer you or someone else. We accept self-referrals or referrals from community service providers, such as shelters and other outreach teams working in Vancouver.
