The largest hospital in British Columbia: Vancouver General Hospital (VGH), is a quaternary referral and transplant centre for the province of British Columbia. It is also a teaching hospital, affiliated with the University of British Columbia and home to one of the largest research institutes in Canada. VGH sees a wide range of patients requiring specialized care including trauma, solid organ transplants, burns, neurosurgery and spinal cord injury.
