Psychologist Jobs

VCH Psychologists believe in empowering people to make positive changes and build resilience. That’s our cause; it infuses everything we do. We accomplish this in a variety of ways. We build caring relationships and accept people where they’re at. We advocate for others and speak up for our clients’ needs. We promote an understanding of human behavior by integrating theory with the client’s experience and educating people about mental health. We innovate in line with research evidence. We constantly engage in self-reflective practice and learn with a humble mind.

Some of the services we provide include psychological assessments (e.g., diagnostic, neuropsychological, educational, risk), psychotherapy, research, program development, program evaluation, teaching and supervision, interprofessional team consultation and collaboration, and leadership. We provide services to patients across the lifespan in both acute and community settings.

We’re an integral part of many interdisciplinary teams throughout Vancouver Coastal Health and work collaboratively with other professionals to provide excellent care to patients. We also maintain a close community of practice within our own discipline via retreats, joint education events, mentoring new hires and supervising residents, psychology rounds, email listserv, and casual social events. If you believe in our cause and like being part of a close-knit team that genuinely cares about patients and about one another, join us. You would be most welcome.
