BEWARE: Fraudulent recruitment scams posing as VCH
We have been made aware of fake recruitment programs that are using the name Vancouver Coastal Health or claiming to be a recruitment service posting positions on behalf of Vancouver Coastal Health, in order to extract money from people in need of employment. These are not legitimate. VCH does not use any third-party recruitment services. Please do not exchange any money with someone offering positions, placements or seminars claiming to be in relation to Vancouver Coastal Health. In addition, do not give any personal information such as passport numbers or driver’s licence numbers as this may result in identity theft.
Please note our domain name is “@vch.ca,” and NOT “@vchh.ca” or any other variation. Any emails coming from “@vchh.ca” or other variations are fraudulent and should be reported immediately to feedback@vch.ca.
International Physician graduates
The College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC (CPSBC) requires completion of the Medical Council of Canada Evaluating Exam before you can practice in BC.
International Medical Graduate (IMG)
If you don't have a credentialing certificate, contact Health Match BC. They provide advice and support with your required preliminary assessment through the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC (CPSBC).
The British Columbia Physician Integration Program (BC-PIP) aims to support the successful transition of practice-eligible international medical graduates (IMGs) from the provisional registry to full licensure to practice medicine in BC.
