Biography
Gail brings more than 35 years of experience in clinical operations and leadership to the VP, Richmond Acute Services role. A registered nurse by profession, for more than 25 years, she has been serving Richmond Acute, first as an ICU nurse, then as a patient care coordinator and later as the Manager of the ICU and 2 South at Richmond Hospital. For the past decade, her leadership roles have spanned critical care, procedural care, medical administration, intensive care, emergency care, medical care and volunteer services. In 2019, she accepted the role of Director, Surgical Program, Procedural Care, Emergency, Critical Care and Volunteer Resources. Known for her dedication to excellence, in 2011, Gail was recognized with the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia's Award of Excellence in Nursing Practice. In 2016, she received the VCH People First Award of Excellence in Leadership.
As a leader, Gail is calm and steadfast. Always ready to lean in and do what's best for the patients she serves, she inspires those she works with to come together as one and strive for better results. Throughout her time in Richmond, she has demonstrated an exceptional ability to care for those she works with and set a tone that encourages collaboration.
