The Child and Youth Mental Health and Substance Use Team at Northeast serves children, youth and their families with serious mental health difficulties and/or social, emotional or behavioural disturbances. We are committed to early intervention in preventing or moderating serious disorders. However, participation is voluntary.

How to access

  • Check eligibility

    • Children and youth aged 6 to 18 years old
    • Resident of Vancouver

     

  • Get a referral

    • Referrals can be made on a walk-in basis at 355 - 2750 East Hastings Street, Vancouver, BC
    • Referral intake times: Mondays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Wednesdays, 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Find your team

    Find a location for a support team for children and youth aged 6 to 18 years old. The city has been divided into catchment areas for better and closer support. You should confirm your address with the clinic to ensure you are within the correct catchment area.

Street parking available on side streets (limited time and unlimited). Paid parking is accessible through the alleyway behind the building.

What to expect

Our clinics and programs of mental health professionals provide services including:

  • assessment and referral to appropriate services,
  • connecting with resources,
  • consultation,
  • therapy, psychiatry, groups and
  • education.

We are sensitive to the diversity of all families and have access to interpreters as needed. Our services are free-of-charge and voluntary.
