Community based assessment and treatment for children and youth ages 6 to 19, who are affected by moderate to severe mental health concerns. This program also helps to coordinate care and services with other community resources.
What to expect
The Integrated Child and Youth (ICY) team is part of B.C.'s mental health and substance use care strategy and receives funding from the Government of B.C. The team provides mental health assessment and treatment at school and in the community for children and youth experiencing mental health and substance use challenges.
The ICY team will meet children and youth where they feel comfortable and offer office and community-based services in addition to parent groups, after-school groups and an outreach social skills program in schools.
We are a multi-disciplinary team of psychiatrists, family therapists, social workers and mental health clinicians that can help children and youth with:
- Behavioural issues
- Anxiety, depression
- Early onset psychoses and other mental health issues.
Services include:
- Consultation
- Individual, group, and family therapy
- Psycho-pharmacological treatment and parent education.
Learn more information about the ICY teams on the Government of B.C. website.
