Young Bears Lodge is a culturally-based, holistic healing lodge for Indigenous youth looking to change their relationship with drugs or alcohol.
What to expect
Young Bears Lodge is a live-in program with five spots for Indigenous youth of all genders, aged 13 to 18, in South Vancouver. Depending on your needs and goals, you may choose to stay in the program for between one and four months.
Services are designed to help focus on the changes individuals want to make and support them through the process of making those changes. The Lodge will provide the client with a safe and respectful environment with supportive staff who will provide the encouragement and resources needed to help make the important changes.

How to access this service
Referrals are required and are completed by a community counselor or health-care professional in collaboration with the client. Once a referral is received, it is reviewed by the Central Addiction Intake Team (CAIT) Concurrent Disorder Counselors for completeness and to ensure clients are matched to the facility best suited to their needs.
